I am also having this problem but this is not just with 2.2.12 i also have
the same problem with the stock redhat 6 boot disk.this is after 2 years
of constant service on a western digital 1.2 gig
it only start happening after i switched the hdd into a newer machine 6x86
200 from a 486 (with promis card)
