Linux 2.3.14 ACPI freeze on boot

ACPI support in 2.3.14 don't work on my system (TYAN Thunder 100; PII
SMP), the System freezes on ACPI initialisation without any message.
I used the ACPI4Linux patch for 2.2.10 without any problem.
