I hope if this is changed, you tell people.. You don't want to flood
the kernel list with "I've compiled 2.2.11, but when I reboot, it still
boots the old kernel!" messages.
I believe it shouldn't be changed for 2.2 at all. Change it for 2.3/2.4
if you wish, but not 2.2
