raid in vanilla kernel

the last raid0145 patch was for 2.2.6, and i'm not
brave enough to use later kernels without raid0145 patch.
has it merged into later kernels? i'm going to use 2.2.10
if it's safe.
ps. my mail machine is down, so cc would be nice.
