Usually egcs 1.1.2 is just fine except of few obscure places in kernel
(unfortunatelly not yet fully detected/fixed)... So if you see weird behaviour
then it's always better try to reproduce it with gcc 2.7.2.3 but in 99% cases
egcs is Ok...
