hi!
i want to run a large webserver on linux 2.2.9 using the apache webserver.
i have two choices:
compaq proliant 5500 (4 x xeon intel cpu, pci)
or
compaq digital ds20 ( 2x 21264 alpha chip, crossbar switched)
which one should i take if i want a stable system running ORACLE for
linux in the next 3 weeks?
which one should i take if want the system in q3/q4?
(i for myself would prefer the intel until oracle for alphalinux is
released production level, then i'd go for the crossnbar switched machine,
but i don't know if that's the way to go)
