egcs compile failure

I am trying to compile egcs v1.1.2 and I get a error message doing a
'make bootstrap':
gcc/collect2.c conflicting types for sys_siglist
/usr/include/signal.h previous declaration of 'sys_siglist'

I am running Redhat 5.2 with gcc v2.7.2.3 and glibc2. Am I missing something?
