Kernel Panic: Attemted to kill the idle task !

Hello,
i'm using kernel 2.2.1 in my linux slackware, and quiet often the pc stops and says:
Unable to handle kernel NULL pointer dereference at virtual address 00000000

Oops:0000
CPU:0
...
...
some line with other info
...
..
Aiee, killing interrupt handler
Kernel Panic:Attemted to kill the idle task !
In swapper task - not syncing.
What is due ?? What can i do to fix it ??
