Maybe it's not an nfs related problem. Here is, how
I can produce a similar problem:
#!/tcsh
#
touch test
foreach sub ( 1 2 3 4 5 6 7 8 9 0 )
echo $sub ; mkdir $sub ; cd $sub ; ln -s '../test' ; ls -alFL test
end
The output is as follows:
1
-rw-rw-r-- 1 schattev gendev 0 Mar 5 15:16 test
2
-rw-rw-r-- 1 schattev gendev 0 Mar 5 15:16 test
3
-rw-rw-r-- 1 schattev gendev 0 Mar 5 15:16 test
4
-rw-rw-r-- 1 schattev gendev 0 Mar 5 15:16 test
5
-rw-rw-r-- 1 schattev gendev 0 Mar 5 15:16 test
6
lrwxrwxrwx 1 schattev gendev 7 Mar 5 15:16 test -> ../test
7
lrwxrwxrwx 1 schattev gendev 7 Mar 5 15:16 test -> ../test
8
lrwxrwxrwx 1 schattev gendev 7 Mar 5 15:16 test -> ../test
9
lrwxrwxrwx 1 schattev gendev 7 Mar 5 15:16 test -> ../test
0
lrwxrwxrwx 1 schattev gendev 7 Mar 5 15:16 test -> ../test
So, how many symlinks can be nested? I did expect a big number here,
at least a number much greater than 5...
Thanks,
Ruben
