Linux 2.2.1 with pre-patch-2.2.2-2.gz and raid0145-19990128-2.2.0.gz

Hope this info helps debug this problem...

I've got an afio backup utility I've been running for months. This morning
it got stuck in a D state:

/proc/status
Name: afio
State: D (disk sleep)

CapEff: 00000000fffffeff

/proc/stat

/proc/statm
131 96 80 13 0 83 16
My version of this utility waits for a /tmp file in-between volumes. I
touched the file this morning and it removed it but then got stuck as above.

I'll be upgrading to 2.2.2-5 now...
