I ahve jsut found that i am the lucky receipient ?? of an anoying problem. I
have seen some post to the effect that cdrecord and the 2.2.x-so-far kernels
are not exactly best of friends. I tried to copy a cd, but cdrecord told me it
couldn't :
cdrecord -v speed=2 dev=0,01,00 -eject -audio [SNIP] o_11.wav
Cdrecord release 1.8a16 Copyright (C) 1995-1998 Jörg Schilling
TOC Type: 0 = CD-DA
cdrecord: Operation not permitted. Cannot do mlockall(2).
Whats going on?? the boot.msg file appears at the end of this file.... If there
is anything else I can show y'all let me know..this is frustrating!

P.S. is there any thing that can be done about the ide/DMA/ide hard drive
problem?
System...
Suse 6.0
kernel 2.2.1
all ide drives..2 4gbs HD
1 atapi with ide-scsi CDROM
1 CDRW atapi with ide-scsi
1 zip atapi with ide-scsi
200 Mhz k6..lalala the rest is in the boot.msg file
