Hi,
Is it kernel or bash problem:

$ mkdir foo foo/foo2;cd foo/foo2
$ pwd
/root/foo/foo2
$ rmdir .;rmdir ..
$ cd ..
cd: could not get current directory: `f
@`f
@
cd: could not get current directory: `f
@`f
@

or:

ankry$ mkdir foo foo/foo2;cd foo/foo2
ankry$ rmdir .;rmdir ..
ankry$ cd ..
cd: could not get current directory: .
cd: could not get current directory: .
Command terminated on signal 11.

?

$ rpm -q bash
bash-1.14.7-11
(as required in Changes)

ash behaviour is more strange:

$ mkdir foo foo/foo2;cd foo/foo2;rmdir .;rmdir ..
$ cd ..;pwd
pwd: cannot get current directory
$ cd
$ mkdir foo foo/foo2;cd foo/foo2;rmdir .;rmdir ..
$ cd ..;pwd
/root/foo
$ ls -la
total 0

(different behaviour in first occurence and in next one)

tcsh seems to handle this situation properly.

Regards
Andrzej
