After upgrade from 2.2.0-pre7 to 2.2.0-pre8 my top looks strangely
and also leaks a file descriptors. After 20 minutes working it leaks more
than 500 file descriptors. Here shot example from procps:
lrwx------ 1 root root 64 Jan 21 23:34 0 -> /dev/tty11
lrwx------ 1 root root 64 Jan 21 23:34 1 -> /dev/tty11
lr-x------ 1 root root 64 Jan 21 23:34 100 -> /proc/2/statm
lr-x------ 1 root root 64 Jan 21 23:34 101 -> /proc/3/statm
lr-x------ 1 root root 64 Jan 21 23:34 102 -> /proc/2/statm
lr-x------ 1 root root 64 Jan 21 23:34 103 -> /proc/3/statm
lr-x------ 1 root root 64 Jan 21 23:34 104 -> /proc/2/statm
lr-x------ 1 root root 64 Jan 21 23:34 105 -> /proc/3/statm
lr-x------ 1 root root 64 Jan 21 23:34 106 -> /proc/2/statm
lr-x------ 1 root root 64 Jan 21 23:34 107 -> /proc/3/statm
lr-x------ 1 root root 64 Jan 21 23:34 108 -> /proc/2/statm
lr-x------ 1 root root 64 Jan 21 23:34 109 -> /proc/3/statm
lr-x------ 1 root root 64 Jan 21 23:34 11 -> /proc/2/statm
lr-x------ 1 root root 64 Jan 21 23:34 110 -> /proc/2/statm
lr-x------ 1 root root 64 Jan 21 23:34 111 -> /proc/3/statm
lr-x------ 1 root root 64 Jan 21 23:34 112 -> /proc/2/statm
lr-x------ 1 root root 64 Jan 21 23:34 113 -> /proc/3/statm
lr-x------ 1 root root 64 Jan 21 23:34 114 -> /proc/2/statm
lr-x------ 1 root root 64 Jan 21 23:34 115 -> /proc/3/statm

The process 2 & 3 its kflushd & kswapd. In compare with 2.2.0-pre7 they looks
strangely.

I am sorry for long lines - I work with 132 columns.

PID PPID USER TTY PRI NI SIZE TRS SWAP RSS SHARE WCHAN FLAGS STAT LIB %CPU %MEM TIME COMMAND
2.2.0-pre7
2 1 root ? 0 0 0 0 0 0 0 bdflush 40 SW 0 0.0 0.0 0:00 kflushd
3 1 root ? 0 0 0 0 0 0 0 kswapd 840 SW 0 0.0 0.0 0:00 kswapd

2.2.0-pre8
2 1 root ? 0 0 976 76 0 976 284 40 SW 0 0.0 1.5 0:01 kflushd
3 1 root ? 0 0 636 36 0 636 460 840 SW 0 0.0 1.0 0:00 kswapd
^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^
This is copies of another process parameters, which changes randomly (at least on top screen).

Also in COMMAND field processes showed with their parameters in that way:
35 1 root ? 1 0 332 16 0 332 260 40 S 0.0 2.2 0:00 /usr/sbin/crond-l1
564 1 root ? 0 0 340 36 0 340 284 140 S 0.0 2.3 0:00 gpm-B132

The output of ver_linux follow:

-- Versions installed: (if some fields are empty or looks
-- unusual then possibly you have very old versions)

Is there a bug or procps changed in 2.2.0-pre8 ?
If second the Documentation/Changes also must be changed.
