This is a Bugreport for 2.2.0-pre8 and -pre9/final.
I´m not totally sure, but I think that this problem I reported below, is no
problem of the parport-driver.
I just put in the Report in the form descriped in REPORTING-BUGS.

[1.] Printing with spooler does not work in pre8 and pre9

[2.] printing does not work with pre8 and pre9-release. Older versions do well.
pre8/9 will only print, if I direct copy a textfile to the lp0-device, like
cat <...> | tee /dev/lp0.
If I try to print over the spoolingsystem, e.g. a textfile with lpr or any
postscriptfile I will find these lines in my lpd-logfile:
--------/var/spool/lpd/stcolor-a4-auto-color-360/log-------
%%[ Error: invalidfileaccess; OffendingCommand: .outputpage ]%%
