ATAPI-ZIP-drive stopped working from pre7 to pre8

After upgrading from kernel 2.2.0-pre7 to 2.2.0-pre8 the ide-floppy
driver is no more activated when i mount my atapi-ZIP drive under
/dev/hdb4. Instead there is ide-cd with no luck. I see the following message:

mount : /dev/hdb4 has wrong major or minor number
