ac5 & 6 patches for 2.2.0-pre7 weirdness

Is it just me or is there something strange going on with the ac patches
for 2.2.0-pre7?

I applied ac5 and after compile, modules installed to /lib/modules/2.2.0-pre7ac3
uname -a also returned 2.2.0-pre7ac3!
When I next checked Alans site for a new patch I saw the ac6 patch,
dated 1998?!?

Hmm, upon a double check, it appears Netscape was showing ac6
patch as 1998:

1998

ncftp doesnt display the year:

Weird.
