Hello Alexey , Found your newest patches against gated-3-5-10
& immediately had to start playing with them . I am attempting
to distribute the default route to my workstations (to no avail).
I have gated.conf on workstations not correct .

Jon Lewis reported a very interesting problem with gated &
aliased interfaces . Ie: it gets really hard to eliminate the
host routes from being broadcast. Jon uses ospf, although I found
the same using rip .

Description:

Note the eth0 dev for the route , To make things easy I was going
to attempt to filter on interface eth0:0 . But that turns out to
be no good as 192.168.0.1 isn't routed thru eth0:0 .

Now for an excersize make that approximatly 200+ aliased
interfaces and you can begin to see the difficulty in filtering
that many Host routes out of the rip/ospf/??? stream .

Also for another excersize just see what happens on a system where
you are at the console ( I MEAN at the console ), Try creating
the above aliased interface with a -really- simple gated.conf
(see attached) and do a 'gdc stop' then a 'gdc start' .
I think you'll be -VERY- surprised in the resultant route table .
