3c59x driver in kernel. Hardware stable for over a year and a half.

I haven't yet had a chance to reproduce it, I will try to get a controlled
situation later on in the day and strace ls and watch the packets on
the wire.
As usual, if any more information is needed, just shout. I'll be posting
a followup later with any of my findings.
