Same here, K6/200, 64M RAM, SB16, xboing -sound works exactly the same
(the sound lags more and more as time goes on). Some synchronisation
problem? The one that changed audio semantics - O_NONBLOCK?

FWIW, xboind sends small .au files to /dev/audio to get the sound
effects.
