* ip_masq compile on pre5 *

2.2-pre5 doesn't compile on my box with ip_masq enabled. Building on a
Cyrix 6x86MX, 2.0.36, Slackware libc5-based system with gcc 2.8.1, for a
486. The tree was a freshly untarred pre4 with pre5 patch applied.

In 2.2-pre5-ac1 with the same setup that problem has gone away. Also it
boots on the 486 without a problem.

2.2-pre4 was OK and seemed stable on that HP-Vectra 486-SX 20MB box.

* keyboard runtime on pre5-ac1 *

Another, as far as I can tell totally unrelated problem:
On another machine, a Nokia Data 386 8MB SCSI-only, running 2.2-pre5-ac-1,
built on the same Cyrix system, there is a run-time keyboard error. Kernel
does not have the same config as the 486 ip_masq config above, i.e. for
386, no ip_masq, no IDE but w/ SCSI.

This machine never had any keyboard-related problems, also LILO does not
complain and I tried three different keyboards. 2.2pre4-ac4 before and
after was OK and seemed stable on this machine.

The error:
repeated 'keyboard: unrecognized scancode (7f) - ignored' during boot, and
continuous 'sssssssss'-stream with two, and '^[[[Esss^[[[Esss'-stream with
one other keyboard, to the console. I can then only login over the
network. Unplugging the keyboard makes the character-stream stop,
plugging it in again makes it start again, in exactly the same way.

I am not on the kernel-list but do browse the archives.

If you need any more info say so, but in that case please cc: to my
e-mail.

Regards, and lots of thanks for the Linux kernel,

-Bert Lindner.
