I've just sent Linus the first 26 or so patches to begin merging back. My
tree tends to lead Linus on some things and also cycle stuff in and out
that turns out not a good idea. Because I do a tree every 3 or 4 days
at the longest I can be more adventurous and then feed Linus the resulting
good bits

Yep. Going through those is on my list.

I would hope so. Im building a kernel tree that meets my needs and some
commercial needs. I don't see that being different to Linus tree materially
in the end. I certainly want to end up with 2.2 containing all the 2.1.x-ac
stuff because that means 2.2 has everything I think important in it ;). I
suspect the end result will be close but not quite because there is bound
to be something Linus doesnt like or wants to defer to 2.3
