Yes, I did play with it a bit. You can look at my code at
ftp://atrey.karlin.mff.cuni.cz/pub/local/mj/linux/freezer-0.0-pre1.tar.gz.
It's able to freeze a process with all mapped files and so on, but two
important things are not implemented yet: recording of open files and
saving of FPU registers. Anyway, it's just because I wrote that thing
during one lazy evening and since then I was unable to find another
evening to finish it ... maybe during Christmas :-)
