Problem with IRDA makefiles

Hi,

I'm trying to get the IRDA makefiles to function properly, but I'm having
some problems (mostly because I don't understand Rules.make). All modules
are compiled correctly, but the file modules/IRDA_MODULES are not updated
as it should be. In most cases the name of the subdir is added to this
file, and not the name of the modules in the subdir.

Directory Modules
--------------------------------
net/irda: irda.o
net/irda/irlan: irlan.o irlan_client.o irlan_server.o
net/irda/irobex: irobex.o
net/irda/ircomm: ircomm.o ircomm_tty.o
net/irda/compressors irda_deflate.o # not in ac6
drivers/net/irda irtty.o esi.o tekram.o actisys.o pc87108.o w83977af_ir.o

Could some please give me some hints about MOD_SUB_DIR and
MOD_IN_SUB_DIR. If I use MOD_TO_LIST then I can add the modules to
modules/IRDA_MODULES, but its not that easy with subdirs that contains
multiple modules (where not all of them are compiled due to the
configuration). Maybe easier if just build all irlan modules if the user
wants IrLAN?

Are there any places I could read about how to make the Makefiles besides
Rules.make. Have tried to find other dirs with similar configuration, but I
cannot find any. Maybe I have over-modularized the IRDA code :-)

Please mail me if you need more details.

Cheers
