I occasionally gets lots of these with various shell scripts. I think
I have seen that under 2.0 too but less frequently in 2.1. (Good
stress test was the old horrible build system of Mozilla, which uses a
shell script to determine the system type on every subdir.)

Does anybody know what causes this?
