Load average 99, stuck in schedule.
Loads of repeated entries for crond and inetd.
The attack happens in the middle of the night, the machine is idle for
hours until the backup job runs. During this flu sets in.
I am able to switch out of X to a console by typing ctrl-alt-f1. but it
