I just did a *LOT* of research on PCI modems, because someone
gave me one. The conclusion of my 4 days of research was that
*ALL* PCI modems are softmodems/winmodems and are 100%
incompatible with Linux. It is not impossible for someone to
make a real modem that is PCI based, but as of yet no one has
done so, at least not that I have found.
