clgenfb.c and i386 (Cirrus Logic FB)

I see that clgenfb.c isn't supported for i386 arch ;-{

Is there a way to get this compiled and working to support this:
00:08.0 VGA compatible controller: Cirrus Logic GD 5446

This device is has small (1 or 2m) memory, and is on the motherboard
of this IBM PC 300GL (and I'm sure many other mobos)
