AIC-7895 2.1.128 partition different than 2.0.35 and maybe 2.1.127?

Maybe this is a FAQ but I installed RedHat 5.1 and all the update RPMs. Then
I pulled down the new modutils and kernel 2.1.127. After upgrading to
2.1.128 I noticed that lilo fails to update the partition (I'm going to
/dev/sdb1 since NT 4.0 is on /dev/sda1). The error is because it doesn't
think the partition tables are on even boundaries. If I boot off a 2.0.3x
(I've tried 2.0.35 and 2.0.34) and run lilo it works fine.
Running fdisk on the drive confirms that 2.0.3[45] thinks the partition
boundaries are correct and 2.1.12[78] thinks they aren't. Suggestions on how
to solve this?
