sound with 2.1.128?

I am using 2.1.128ac2 on Intel SMP, and I don't get any sound.
I am using the same ALSA driver that worked for 2.1.127, it still
compiles and installs fine but there is no sound output. Programs can
open /dev/dsp, I can set the mixer, yet there is no sound.

So I tried OSS (btw: using SB16 driver on my SB64), I can load the
driver but always get

Sound: DMA (output) timed out - IRQ/DRQ config error?

in my syslog, although I use isapnp to set the correct values. So I
suspect this to be a different issue than an ALSA issue.

What should I do now?

Felix
