OK. I've applied them all - they all went cleanly into 2.1.127. My testbed NFS
server now correctly locks non-world-readable files, and the real one will be
rebooted this evening. Thanks for your help.

For some time now, I've found it to be more stable than 2.0 (at least on an
SMP machine). My only problems at the moment are NFSd and ISDN, both of which
have patches available, but not yet merged.

As your patches seem to be exactly how Linux likes them - short and sweet -
would this be a good time to submit them for approval?
