Yes. With the 0.99 series driver.

Compile it as a module, and unload / reload it, that'll do the job.
Or get an updated driver, see below.

It has been fixed in later versions of the driver. 1.03 is pretty stable
and included with the latest 2.0.36pre snapshots from Alan Cox.
You can also get it from the URL mentioned in linux/drivers/net/epic100.c
