Frame Buffer on Alpha VGA?

Hi,

I've got an Alpha 21164a PC164LX 600MHz with a Diamond FireGL 1000 Pro
(super-)VGA card. However, the kernel only gives me the option for a
TGA framebuffer support, which my machine does not have, of course.

Is there a reason that there is not VGA support on the Alpha or is
this just an oversight?

Thanks,
John
