2.1.127: processes stuck in D state (down_failed).

2.1.127 seems to be running ok, except that:
1) Disk I/O hammering makes the system much less responsive than
2.1.125 was.
2) I've got some processes accessing a SCSI DAT (via st and aic78xx)
which are stuck in D state in down_failed:

% ps l 855
FLAGS UID PID PPID PRI NI SIZE RSS WCHAN STA TTY TIME COMMAND

Could it be the new aic78xx drivers ? Doesn't looks like to me. St
didn't change either.
