WordPerfect - in my experience, the WP8 beta has about 1/3 the memory
requirements of StarOffice 4.0. Upon startup WP8 would use 9MB of memory,
vs the 32MB used by StarOffice. I rarely was able to get it to use more
than 13MB of RAM.

I know what you mean about SO5 - it's particularly unstable here (it likes
to die and take the entire X server with it. The only recovery for me is
the reset button :-()
