Reading (and probably writing) /dev/socksys is a problem in
the current iBCS which will be fixed by the weekend (perhaps
this evening). I don't know why pre127-7 breaks ADSM - I don't read
pre-patches very often. It is unlikely to be fixed (if an iBCS
fix is needed) until there is a final 127.
