Adaptec + SMP is definitely a common problem theme, but its not so simple
as it looks. There are also non SMP specific deadlocks fixed in pre16.

One known 2.0.x SMP problem is IRQ re-entry. A patch has been proposed to
fix that, you may wish to see if it helps.
