swapon -s says "swapon: /proc/swaps: No such file or directory"

Hello hackers,

The man(8) says swapon -s suppose to return the information about the
swap devices and it seems 2.0.36pre15 does not generate such info
in /proc.

Can someone tell me what's going on?
