2.1.127pre1 + drivers/scsi/sd.c from 2.1.126pre2ac2 (module trouble; this is
an IDE system, sd.o is for for use with a Zip drive) on i586/100, egcs-1.1a,
binutils-2.9.1.0.15, glibc-2.0.98 boots fine. glibc-2.0.99 built fine.
OK, installed glibc-2.0.99 (compiled with 2.1.127pre1 kernel source, built
under 2.1.126pre2ac2). Installation did not go smoothly, "make -k install"
ends with:
/usr/bin/install -c /usr/src/build/build-glibc-2.0.99/elf/sln /sbin/sln.new
mv -f /sbin/sln.new /sbin/sln

2.1.126pre2ac{1,2} work fine here, never built 2.1.126 proper. 2.1.127pre1
works fine, and glibc-2.0.99 seems to work too. That's what I'm running
right now.
