116 is ESTALE 'Stale NFS handle' - it means that the filehandle your machine
tried to use to access the file on the NFS server is no longer valid. It is
perfectly normal to see these after a reboot of the NFS server (the client
will attempt to look up a new filehandle for the file). If accessing a file
results in this and then fails with Stale NFS handle something is likely wrong
at the server, but I need more information to know for sure.
Regards,
/Anders
