Andrea, you said:

"Stephen, do you think that I am wasting time
fixing the swapin-parent code for 2.0?
It would be better to backport the new cache code?
Or all you like to live with the ugly swapin but sure safe?"

To answer question # 3 first --- I'll only speak for myself. --- If there is a
working patch for 2.0.x, no matter if it is the swapin-parent or new cache
patch, I will appreciate it a lot.

Right here we have several test machines on 2.1.x, and all other Linux machinese
are running 2.0.x [and _may_ change to 2.2 only when it is _reasonably_ stable]
so in my case 2.0.x still has a lifespan for many, many moons, at least.

Answering question # 1 and # 2, Andrea, whichever way the patch takes is fine
with me, as long as they improve 2.0.x

Anyway, you have my appreciation for your hardworks.

Thanks again !

Appreciatively,
Pete
