Hi

I have an Adaptec 2940UW, boot disk Barracuda 4GB a three other 9GB Barracuda
hard drives. Under strong write activity on boot disk
(cat /dev/zero > /tmp/foo) I saw timeouts on scsi bus and bus resetting
messages in a few seconds.
I thought it was termination problem, bad harddisk but I tried
aic7xxx 5.1.0pre6 patch against 2.0.35
(ftp://ftp.dialnet.net/pub/linux/aic7xxx/testing) and it seems to solve this
problem. I have not found any other problems.
Is the 5.1.0 driver stable enough to use on a production machine?

Thank you,

Blackie
