Experienced a strange proble today.
Running knfsd-980922 with Linux-2.1.122

On all clients, a started experiencing a strange problem. Under my NFS
mount, if I tried to enter pwd from a subdirectory, I would get an error
stating that I did not have permission. Then, if I tried to cd .. up out
of the NFS mount, I would get an error stating that I did not have
permission to leave the NFS filesystem. I could cd to another directory
out of the filesystem by name, but cd .. would not work. The logs on the
server show the following:

Sep 24 13:46:32 atlas kernel: nfsd_lookup: //.. crossed mount point!
Sep 24 13:47:05 atlas last message repeated 2 times
Sep 24 14:09:36 atlas kernel: nfsd_lookup: //.. crossed mount point!
Sep 24 14:10:16 atlas kernel: nfsd_lookup: //.. crossed mount point!
Sep 24 14:11:15 atlas last message repeated 4 times
Sep 24 14:12:19 atlas last message repeated 3 times
Sep 24 14:13:40 atlas last message repeated 455 times
Sep 24 14:16:26 atlas kernel: nfsd_lookup: //.. crossed mount point!
Sep 24 14:17:20 atlas last message repeated 6 times

To fix the problem, I merely unmounted and then remounted on each of the
clients.

Thoughts and/or suggestions?

Thanks,
Greg
