hello,

i have a similar problem, but my context is a bit different : i try porting linux on a vme card based on a powerpc. i work now on linux 2.1.57. ihave a scsi ncr53c810 and a disk seagate st3123.

when i boot, everything is ok until ' scsi : 1 host '

then, it does an infinite loop like that :

ncr52c8xx_reset : pid=1 reset_flags=2 serial_numder=xx serial_numder_at_timeout=xx

one strange thing, in my case, if i disconnect the scsi disk : it does the same loop !!!

if you have answer to that, can you forward me ?
