PROBLEM: can't loading with 2.1.122 kernel

After building the kernel I tried to load with it. But kernel stoped
with
VFS: kerenl panoc can't mounting root filesystem (hda not found)
Although before this string
found hda:MAXTOR ....
HELP ME!
