Of course this is impossible. But if requirements for LGPL will be included
in "UDI certification" process then most (but of course not all) hardware
manufacturers will use GPL.

UDI by itself if not Bad Thing :-) UDI has real benefits and IMO must be
included in kernel 2.3 (may be even backported in 2.2). But we must be VERY
AWARE about possible harm and we must do our best to make sure that each
and every Joe Average Linux user is aware about possible problems with
binary-only UDI drivers...
