2.1.122 + 2.1.122-APM.1 patch
APM Bios v1.0
Well, APM is working better than it used to. apm -S blanks my screen and
turns off the backlight, but after a variable amount of time, the
backlight comes back on. The code says that I reported a broken bios,
but this was a conclusion of Scott's. I simply reported that it did not
work. the 0x01ff to Ox0100 change gets rid of some error msgs, but seems
just to hide other problems. apm -s shuts off my PCMCIA cards, but does
not suspend the machine. I can suspend with the button, but then apmd
does not know it, and does not correct the clock. This is with X and
Netscape loaded. I appears the Netscape may be the villian here.
