After upgrading to 2.0.35 (and 2.0.36 pre-patch 6) the parallell
port is
very slow. Ghostscript (Alladin) spent about 10 minutes cpu time
for 200k
to a Epson Stylus 800 printer. The problem is not with gs though.
lpd showed
the same symtom with a preformatted file.

I have not tried pre-patch 7.

After changing back to 2.0.34 it worked again.

# cat /proc/cpuinfo

I have no experience in kernel development - I just think it
would be bad if a fix for this would not make into the final
2.0.36 release.
