Yea its a cable modem. Already put wu-ftpd (the latest one) on.

The cable brochure said 8 MBPS down, 1.5 MBPS up
sure....like I believe that :)

But its pretty fast, it'll take a nice amount of 28.8 or 56k'ers to lag me
down.

I've never tested upload, I'd have to find a fast server that I could upload
to.
Any volunteers?

How would I go about becoming a mirror? Is there an official list I should be
added to, or do I just download all of linux/ (or linux/kernel) and put it
up? Also, if I want to put up a distribution will I have to contact them for
permission?
