Hi all;

I am using Compaq DeskPro 5100 with Ethernet controller based on
AMD 79C970 (rev 2);
This card works very well with both 2.0.30 and 2.0.32 kernels.
I have recently tried 2.0.35 kernel, and while the card is still
detected - nothing works, not even ping.

I have seen that in 2.0.34 lance32.c driver has been replaced with
pcnet32.c driver.

I am not sure if this is related, but I have got messagese like
those below 2 times when using 2.0.35 kernel:

eth0: transmit timed out, status 0072, resetting.
Ring data dump: dirty_tx 0 cur_tx 16 (full) cur_rx 0.

If this is relevant, the controller uses IRQ 3 (not shared with anything else)
and IO 1000-1017.

I am wondering if some is going to work on it and if I could be more helpful
with this.

Best regards,
