Hi,

When I go through all the config and try to compile the kernel I get the
following error message?

gcc -b i486-linuxaout -D__KERNEL__ -I/usr/src/linux-2.0.34/include -Wall
-Wstrict-prototypes -O2 -fomit-frame-pointer -fno-strength-reduce -pipe
-m486 -malign-loops=2 -malign-jumps=2 -malign-functions=2 -DCPU=686 -c -o
init/main.o init/main.c
gcc: installation problem, cannot exec `cc1': No
such file or directory
cpp: /usr/i486-linuxaout/bin/as: unrecognized option
`-Qy'
output pipe has been closed
gcc: file path prefix
`/usr/lib/gcc-lib/i486-linuxaout/egcs-2.90.29/' never used
make: ***
[init/main.o] Error 1

I have very idea about what I'm doing. Any help would be great. TIA.
